Ex GPCC chief Shantaram Naik passes away at 72

Former Rajya Sabha MP and ex- Goa Pradesh Congress Committee chief Shantaram Naik passed away due to a massive heart attack. He was 72 years old. 

After complains of uneasiness, Naik was rushed to Trimurti Hospital, Margao at around 6:30 am on Saturday; however was declared brought dead. He is survived by his wife Beena Naik and son Archit Naik. The final rites of Shantaram Naik will take place on 10 June 2018, Sunday.

CANACONA: Utter chaos and fear prevailed in Canacona on Friday morning following the collapse of retaining walls of an under-pass culvert. The retaining walls of one-side of the over-bridge on the under-construction 4-lane of NH-66 at Chaar-Raasta too have suffered wide cracks.
