Fadnavis says many schemes unique to Goa

PORVORIM: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis commended the BJP for giving Goa an able leadership and stable government during the last five years.

Addressing a public meeting at Verem, Fadnavis said there has been noteworthy development in basic infrastructure, while the State government had implemented several schemes which are not in existence in any other state.

“The people should elect the BJP once again to continue development,” said Fadnavis.

“Good road, port and airport connectivity are three major aspects needed for the growth of industries and Goa has all three. Goa has also planned two electronic cities which will provide jobs to the youth,” added Fadnavis.

“Goa is on the path of progress and progress in possible only if government is stable.” Saligao MLA Dilip Parulekar said during the last five years, the tourism department had earned 36 awards, proving that the State had performed well in the tourism sector.

“Nearly Rs 1,350 crore has been distributed to 1.50 lakh women under the Gruha Adhar scheme during the last 5 years, while 50,000 young women availed the benefit of Ladli Laxmi scheme.
