Members of the Falun Dafa Association of India will stage a silent protest in the city here on Sunday in protest against the persecution of its followers and gross violation of human rights in China.
Addressing the media, a representative of Falun Dafa Pankaj Aknurwar said that India needs to play a decisive role to end this gross human rights violation in China.
“One of the major human rights issue in China is the slander and victimization of Falun Dafa followers, which is a peaceful meditation practice based on truthfulness, compassion and tolerance. This practice is banned in China since July 20, 1999, and the persecution of its followers is relentlessly going on for the past 17 years, while it is being freely practiced in over 114 countries around the world, including India,” Pankaj said.
