The Fatorda police have arrested three persons in connection with the brutal assault on 33-year old Vijay Kulal by a group in the wee hours of Monday near the Old market circle.
Fatorda police station in-charge, PI Girendra Naik informed that the police has arrested Afzal Shaikh (26), a resident of Davorlim, Colva-Seraulim resident Rihan (21) and Krishna Lohar (23), Vasco. The trio have been remanded to three days police custody.
PI Girendra informed that the police are on the look out for the remaining persons involved in the brutal assault on Kulal.
He said victim Kulal has named three persons, Walter Fernandes, Joseph Sequeira and Simon Saldanha in connection with the assault on him in the wee hours of Monday.
The police, however, could not reveal whether they have been successful in recovering the weapons of assault used in the incident.
The police is investigating.
