FC Goa on Tuesday officially welcomed Brazilian legend and FC Goa coach and manager Zico for Season 3 of ISL, but it was not the sort of welcome that he or his football fans would have hoped for. Fans with FC Goa flags started pouring at the Dabolim airport on Tuesday afternoon to welcome the Brazilian legend and three-time World Cup player Arthur Antunes Coimbra, fondly known as Zico, who arrived at around 1.30 pm at the airport. However their joys were short-lived as the security personnel deployed by FC Goa s new owner and leading casino operator Delta Corp Jaydev Mody started pushing away the fans and media present at the airport to make way for Zico to the car stationed at the arrival bay. Zico, who came out limping from the airport, was not allowed to talk to any of the media persons at the airport by the security present and they escorted Zico straight to a waiting car. However, at the instance of Zico, the security personnel allowed him to shake hands with some FC Goa fans for a few seconds. Zico then wanted to interact with media persons, but they pushed away the media and escorted Zico into a Deltin Royal casino car and zoomed away. The FC Goa manager of operation also refused to pay heed to requests by the waiting media persons to allow them to speak to Zico.
