MARGAO
A Skoda Rapid car was engulfed by a major fire at Borda in the early hours of Wednesday.
The Margao fire brigade has informed that the vehicle caught fire while it was parked in the garage of the owner, Rosy Fernandes.
While the exact loss of property is being ascertained, the fire brigade has claimed that it managed to stop the fire from spreading to the adjoining houses. The cause of the fire is unknown. Further investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, the fire brigade rushed to Rawanfond-Navelim on Wednesday morning after a branch of a banyan tree came crashing down on a house and road.
