The first phase of Pernem Municipal Council’s (PMC) new administrative building, the beautification of the Rekha Mashelkar Park, and Pernem MLA Praveen Arlekar's office will be inaugurated on Monday.
The projects will be inaugurated by Urban Development Minister Vishwajit Rane in the presence of Pernem MLA Praveen Arlekar, PMC Chairperson Manoj Harmalkar, Vive-Chairperson Usha Nagvekar, and councillors.
The first phase of PMC’s administrative building has been constructed at a cost of about Rs 9 crore, and the second phase will consist of a fish market and separate space for shops by the side of the market.
MLA Praveen Arlekar has shifted his office from Malpe to the new PMC building, which will also be inaugurated on Monday.
The old PMC building had been demolished and the PMC relocated its offices to the Pernem KTC bus stand for about three years.
