The Navelim village gram sabha witnessed an uproar after some members resorted to fisticuffs, interrupting the meeting for a brief time.
In fact, one gram sabha was seen trying to hurl a chair at another members and literally came face to face after a member made some personal comments directed at another member.
Intervention by other gram sabha members separated the two members before Sarpanch Lucia Cardozo went about taking up the business agenda lining up for the meeting.
