Fourteen mixer-grinders allegedly bought to influence voters were seized in Sodiem, Siolim, police informed.
Two persons “ Anthony Fernandes and Diago Fernandes “ both residents of Sodiem, Siolim have been booked based on a complaint lodged by the flying squad in Siolim.
After receiving information that mixer-grinders were stored in a house in Sodiem-Siolim, the flying squad rushed to the spot and raided the house.
The team found 14 mixer-grinders in the house which were confiscated.
Mapusa police registered a case against the suspects under sections 171 (b) (1) (i) and 188 of the IPC. Mapusa police is investigating further.
Sources informed that an Independent candidate had brought the mixer-grinders to distribute them to voters in the Siolim constituency.
