The Fomento Group Chairman Avdhut Timblo has provided financial assistance to fund the education of Savio Carvalho from Tilamol-Quepem.

However, the Fomento Group didn’t allow his dream to wilt, and therefore the company chairman Avdhut Timblo took responsibility of his education. rSavio resides with his grandmother at Tilamol. His family’s financial condition was dismal. He had lost his father, while his mother was mentally unstable. He was brought up by his grandmother. Savio’s grandmother had to struggle a lot to fund his middle school. After Savio completed his SSC, Navodaya High School decided to send him to Pune for IIT education for two years. rHe chose Maths and Computers at IIT Pune and successfully completed two years. Later, he took admission at Kanpur IIT, but he had to face many hurdles because of his financial condition. He had to spent Rs 90,000 at Kanpur IIT for four years. A teacher from Curchorem learnt about his situation and he appealed for financial support for Savio’s education through social media. rCurchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral, Fomento Group chairman Avdhut Timblo, businessmen and others provided financial support for his education.
