For Francis D’Souza, his son great source of inspiration but Modi is most inspiring

MAPUSA
Emphasizing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the most inspiring person in India, Urban Development Minister Francis D'Souza on Thursday said his son was also a great source of inspiration to him.
"From a simple Chaiwala, Narendra Modi rose to become the prime minister of the country. I don't think anyone in the world has achieved as much as him. He can be an inspiration to all of us. To you, to me, to all of us," D'Souza said.
The urban development minister was speaking at the induction programme of the newly admitted trainees at the Industrial Training Institute, Mapusa.
Director of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Aleixo da Costa, Mapusa Municipal Council, councilor, Franky Carvalho, ITI principal, Sheetal Dessai and others were present at the function.
Speaking further, D'Souza said one needs to admire the prime minister's energy and his effort to keep working.
"He has tremendous capacity to work. He works for almost 17 to 18 hours a day. Sometimes, he conducts meetings even at midnight," he added.
Drawing inspiration from his family, the urban development minister said his second inspirational figure was his own son.
"At the age of 15, my son used to dismantle a scooter and reassemble it. I thought he would be an engineer, but he eventually graduated in commerce stream," D'Souza said.
He further said after graduation, he thought this son would approach him for a government job since he was a minister.
"Nothing like that happened. My son set up his own workshop. He then set
up the KTM showroom all with his own resources," D'Souza said.
Impressing the newly inducted trainees that one never stops learning, he said what they learnt at the institute was limited to their job and
actual learning was revealed in their behavior at home and in society.
Director of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Aleixo da Costa and Mapusa councilor, Franky Carvalho also spoke on the occasion.
