Former Nuvem sarpanch joins AAP

Former Nuvem sarpanch Pausilipo Eutico Estevao Dourado joined the Aam Aadmi Party in the presence of AAP national convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday.

Pausilipo Eutico Estevao Dourado was elected as sarpanch of Nuvem in 1998. He was then appointed as Goa Pradesh Youth Congress block president for Loutolim constituency and later appointed as Youth Congress South Goa District president in 2002, stated AAP in a press release.

Pausilipo has claimed that the construction of jetties, nationalisation of rivers and the proposed waste treatment plant at Verna-Loutolim plateau would cause irreparable damage to the ecosystem besides affecting the livelihood of hundreds of people, the release further stated.
