VALPOI: Seizing the opportunity of a recent incident involving a youth questioning Health Minister and Valpoi MLA Vishwajeet Rane at a corner meeting, the Valpoi Congress Block said youth have been frustrated by Rane’s failed promises.
“Unemployed youth are frustrated in Sattari taluka and are questioning Rane about jobs. This only proves that Rane has failed to fulfil the demands of people,” said Valpoi Congress Block President Dashrath Mandrekar while addressing a news conference on Saturday.
Mandrekar claimed a majority of the electorate in Valpoi constituency would vote for the Congress at the Lok Sabha polls. “We have received great support during campaigning in Valpoi constituency. People from Valpoi are frustrated over unemployment and closure of mining in the State.”
“People will definitely teach the BJP a lesson and will vote for the Congress candidate Girish Chodankar.”
Ranjeet Rane said the issue of land ownership rights had been pending since the last five decades and claimed that Vishwajeet Rane was unfit to be a leader of Sattari.
