It may be recalled that Bhomkar was declared elected as sarpanch by 5-4 votes against Janita Madkaikar, but the Madkaikar camp cried foul and blamed the presiding officer for the entire fiasco in which a wrong ballot paper was handed to one of the nine panchayat members.
When contacted, Tiswadi BDO Manish Kedar confirmed the development while stating that the motion has been signed by five panchas. They include Tulsidas Kavlekar, Janita Madkaikar, Vishwas Kuttikar, Archita Painginkar and Pradnya Fadte.
When contacted, Bhomkar said he is not unduly worried and was ready to face the no-confidence motion.
Sources inside the BDO informed that the motion is likely to be taken up on Saturday.
