The Goa Ayurvedic Medical Association (GAMA) on Sunday organised a Seva Samarpan Samman programme at Ravindra Bhavan Baina.
The programme was attended by a large number of GAMA members, and former environment minister Rajendra Arlekar and Ravindra Bhavan Baina Chairperson Shashikant Parab were the special invitees.
GAMA president Dr Dharmendra Prabhudessai while speaking to the media said that the programme was organised as a part of Ayurveda Day celebration.
"The program will be divided into three sections. The first programme will be the annual GAMA legend award to the doctors who have contributed in the field of Ayurveda. GAMA member Dr Madhavi Lata Dixit has written a book which will be released in the second section of the programme. During the pandemic, a lot of Ayush doctors have worked hard in various hospitals and served as front runners to take care of the Covid patients and we will felicitate some of these doctors as Covid Warriors during the third section of the programme," said Dr Prabhudessai.
"We carry out this programme every year to encourage and create awareness about Ayurveda medicine to the people so that it can be taken further," said Dr Prabhudessai.
