The gang involved in theft of silencers from Maruti Eeco cars has been busted by the Fatorda police in coordination with their Maharashtra counterparts.
After registration of two crimes at Fatorda police station in the month of June, the police went on the job to nab the culprits based on intelligence inputs jointly with the Bombay police and Kalwa police station, Thana district.
After the accused were identified by the intelligence team consisting of Nilesh Kaskar, Somnath Naik and Babloo Zore, the Fatorda police and the Maharashtra police were in hot pursuit of the accused. After investigations, the accused were apprehended at Maharashtra by Kalwa police, Thana and has recovered 25 silencers from different crimes in Maharashtra and Goa.
Fatorda Police station in-charge, PI Kapil Nayak informed that during interrogation, the accused has confessed of the crime committed in the Fatorda police station jurisdiction.
Accordingly, a team of Fatorda police consisting of PSI Sarvesh Bhandari, ASI Salgaonkar, LIB Nilesh Kaskar, Santosh Jamuni were sent to Mumbai for further investigation in Fatorda police station crime. During the interrogation, the accused has confessed of the crime in Fatorda PS and crimes reported at the Margao and Maina Curtorim police station.
After being brought to Goa on Thursday, the accused were arrested in Fatorda PS crime.
The names of the accused were provided as Shamsuddin Mohammad Adish Shah,age -21 yrs resident of Kurla, Mumbai, Saddam Makaish Khan, age-26 yrs, r/o Kurla, Mumbai and Shamsuddin Mujjadin Khan, age-21 yrs, r/o Kurla Mumbai.
