In another fire incident reported in Calangute, a godown stocked with garments went up in flames destroying most of the garments stocked inside the godown, a fire official informed.
The godown is at Umta-vaddo, opposite the football ground in Calangute.
The Pilerne Fire Station received a fire call at around 7.50 am.
Two fire tenders, one each from Pilerne and Mapusa rushed to the spot and managed to bring the flames under control.
Fire officials managed to salvage some garment stock but most were burnt in the blaze, a fire official said.
The exact cause of the fire was yet to be established.
