The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has demanded resignation of Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude after he was accused of using abusive language against the Tribal Welfare Director and also threatening SC/ST Commissioner.
In this connection, the Priol unit of RGP has also filed complaint with the Mardol police station demanding action, including filing of FIR, against the minister.
In the complaint, it has been pointed out that in the viral audio about the telephonic conversation between Gaude and Tribal Welfare Director Dashrath Redkar, the minister has used abusive words against Redkar and also allegedly threatened the chairperson of SC/ST Commission.
“Therefore, we request you to initiate necessary action, file FIR and other action as per the law against Minister Govind Gaude, for threatening, abusing the Commissioner and government officers,” the complaint filed by RGP Priol Constituency Block Committee states.
Earlier, members of the RGP accompanied by locals from Priol constituency held a protest outside the Mardol police station, shouting slogans against Minister Gaude demanding his immediate resignation. The protestors were armed with placards which decried the attitude of the Minister.
Speaking to reporters, RGP treasurer Ajay Kholkar said the threat against the SC/ST Commissioner has been issued as the Commissioner has taken up various issues in Priol constituency, including the Bhoma road widening agitation and the Keri property issue.
