Former NCP State President Jose Philip D’Souza on Wednesday said he will continue to support Sharad Pawar.
Speaking to reporters in Vasco, D’Souza said the Election Commission had allotted the NCP party name and symbol to Ajit Pawar despite the fact that the entire NCP was established by Sharad Pawar in the 1990s.
“NCP has presence and organisations in 28 states and though the presidents of around 25 states had extended support to Sharad Pawar, I am unaware of how the Election Commission allotted the name and symbol of the party to the Ajit Pawar faction,” said D’Souza.
