GCCI welcomes passing of GST Bill

Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has welcomed the passing of goods-and-services-tax (GST) bill by the State assembly. The assembly has passed the said bill in a special session.

In a press note, GCCI further said, “The chamber is making all out efforts to ensure that the trade in Goa is fully geared for smooth roll out of GST. So far, we have conducted six seminars explaining the nuances of the model GST law, as it has emerged so far. The chamber has also lined up quite a few seminars in the coming months.”
Apart from this, GCCI has also set up a cell that will extend all possible help and guidance to Goan businessmen in matters related 
to GST.

Two constables suspended for dereliction of duty

Superintendent of Police (North) Karthik Kashyap suspended two constables of Goa Police control room team for dereliction of duty. On Tuesday, SP Kashyap issued a statement confirming the suspension.
