MARGAO
Goa Forward party chief Vijai Sardesai on Wednesday sent a veiled warning that the Goa Forward party has traction in almost all the 40 Assembly constituencies and not restricted to his home constituency Fatorda.
While declining to offer any comments on the alliance with the Congress party, Sardesai said the regional party will review and take stock of the situation on June 30.
“If certain people think that we are seeking an alliance with the Congress to gain Fatorda, they are sadly mistaken. We want to send a clear message that the Goa Forward is seeking alliance with the Congress to come to power in the state and fulfil the aspirations of the people of Goa”, he said.
He added: “I want to convey a message that the Goa Forward party has traction in almost all the 40 constituencies. Right now, I do not want to comment anything on the alliance. Our party leaders will meet on June 30 to take stock of the situation and chalk out future course of action”.
