GFP says will not sleep till Sept 30

Goa Forward Party mentor and Independent MLA Vijai Sardesai on Tuesday said that the Congress party s decision to take a call on the grand alliance by September 30 was not unexpected, but asserted that he and the GFP will not go to sleep till September end but will brace up to face the BJP in the coming election.

Reacting to the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee s decision on the mahagathbandhan at Monday s meeting in Panaji, Sardesai said, “Politics is dynamic, but one thing is clear the PCC meeting has sent a message which only shows Congress seriousness in stopping the ruling BJP from returning to power.”“The Congress party has spoken and we have understood the message. We will now go ahead and do what we have to do,” he told the media.Replying to a question, Sardesai said the Congress party s decision has made one thing very clear that the Goa Forward Party will have to put in extra efforts. GFP President Prabhakar Timble on Tuesday said the picture is clear after Congress party s Monday meeting. “GFP and its mentors have to lead a united opposition of like minded political parties and politicians to provide a political alternative to Goa for 2017. It is clear that the Congress lacks the will to oust the BJP from power.”
