Residents of Ghantamorod in Aquem Baixo village on Saturday objected to the setting up of a pathological laboratory in a residential bungalow in their area.
They said that allowing such a facility in a residential locality could cause inconvenience to the residents and lead to issues like health risks and parking problems.
The residents went to the Panchayat ghar after learning that officials had ordered the issuance of permission for the laboratory.
“We want to make it clear that the people from this locality strongly oppose the setting up of a laboratory in a residential bungalow. The authorities should take note of the concerns and fears raised by the residents before giving final approval,” they said.
