The Margao police have registered a case of sexual assault after a girl was allegedly raped and later found to be pregnant.
The complaint was filed by the girl’s parents, who stated that the accused, Kishu Shah, a resident near the Margao railway station, had forcible sexual intercourse with their daughter, resulting in the pregnancy.
The incident reportedly took place between 15 March and 3 April 2025 at the accused’s house near the railway station.
The police have booked the accused under Section 64 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and Sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
