Goa Medical College and Hospital has issued orders prohibiting photography in and around the new Super Speciality Block on its campus. The orders to this effect have been issued by Dean of GMCH Dr S M Bandekar.
It may be recalled that the new super specialty block was commissioned in the first half of May and on May 15, 350 Covid patients were shifted to the new premises from the old building. The block has pipeline oxygen installed and a 20,000 litre tank base pipe oxygen facility.
Earlier this week, the Health Department announced that in addition to the existing facilities at the new block, two 30-bedded Intensive Care Units are being prepared to house the paediatric ICU, neonatal ICU and High Dependency Unit (HDU) as a part of the government’s efforts to combat a possible third wave of the Covid pandemic.
