Goa bids adieu to its music scene icon Henry

PANAJI

Henry Pinheiro, who is credited with revolutionising Goa’s music and sound industry since the late 1980s, was interred at the St Inez cemetery after an eucharistic celebration at Panaji’s Immaculate Conception Church on Sunday. Pinheiro had passed away on August 9.

A musician himself who placed in a few live bands, Pinheiro also dabbled in sound engineering, founding the capital’s iconic Henry Music Cafe in the 1980s -- a one-stop shop for anything music which kept pace with the fast-changing technological profile of the music world in those decades.
