Upbeat over Centre’s direction that Dabolim airport will now make public announcements in Konkani first, followed by Hindi and English, the Goa Forward youth, however, had no clue on the way forward in promoting Konkani in the State.
Youth wing president Raj Malik told The Goan that they would meet Goa Forward supremo and TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai on the issue.
“We intend on raising the issue with our president in the first week of January,” said Malik.
He also said that the youth wing would also take up other causes related to Konkani Art and Culture.
On Goa Konkani Academy being without a president for almost two years, the youth wing president assured to take up the issue with Sardesai in the first week of January.
Meanwhile, in light of the Goa Forward Party’s campaign to get in-flight announcements at the Daabolim airport to be made in Konkani, the Congress has asked the Goa Forward Party to make public the regional party’s Konkani name.
