He also demanded to know from the Congress whether the party will give ticket to former Minister, Filipe Neri Rodrigues, when he had compromised with the BJP leading to the withdrawal of the criminal case against BJP leaders in the case of his eviction from the Assembly.
The election office was inaugurated by noted cardiologist, Dr Francisco Colaco, in the presence of Vijai Sardesai, Anthony Rodrigues, Monica Dias, ZP member Cipru Cardozo, Durgadas Kamat and others.
In his address, Sardesai attacked all the political players, right from the BJP to the Independent Velim MLA to the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party. On the Church I-T notice, Sardesai demanded to know why the Catholic ruling MLAs did not raise a voice against the I-T notice. “If GFP comes to power in the state, we will enact a legislation exempting the Church under the I-T purview on the lines of the Hindu Mahajans Act,” he added.
In his address, Anthony Rodrigues said his political opponents are on the job trying to misguide the people on his education background. He said he had been able to complete many a project under the ZP funds when both the present and former MLA had failed to do.
Dr Francisco Colaco said a regional party would help the people of Goa to take decisions right here in Goa, saying that a regional party need not go to the Delhi high command for advise and decisions.
