Goa Forward chief Vijai Sardesai said that the party would rope in a professional agency to carry out an assessment on the ground about the party’s strength and weaknesses before the upcoming Assembly polls.

He said the agency will conduct the assessment in a professional manner and submit a report during the monsoons. “The survey will help the party understand its strength and weakness and its traction before the upcoming polls,” he said, adding that the party would take the next steps on how to go about the Assembly election depending on the survey report.

He, however, underscored the need for the Opposition to tap the anti-incumbency sentiments against the BJP government in Goa. “Anti-incumbency sentiment defeated the DMK in Tamil Nadu. Similar sentiment is running high against the BJP government in Goa. To tap the anti-incumbency sentiment, it is incumbent on the Opposition parties to come together and defeat the BJP,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Goa Forward Party chief said the party has taken a significant step towards strengthening its outreach and public communication by constituting its Media Cell with immediate effect.

He said the newly formed Media Cell aims to streamline the party’s communication strategy and effectively convey its vision to every Goemkar. It will serve as a dedicated platform to ensure that the voices, concerns, and aspirations of the people are communicated clearly and consistently across all media platforms, he added.

The Media Cell will be led by Prashant Naik as chief spokesperson. The team of spokespersons include Durgadas Kamat, Rajesh Kalangutkar, Vikas Bhagat, Freddy Travaso, and Adv Ashma, who will collectively represent the party’s positions and engage with the media and public discourse.

“This move marks the beginning of a more organised, structured and proactive communication approach by the party, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, accountability, and people-centric governance,” he said.

He reiterated that the Media Cell will play a crucial role in amplifying public issues and ensuring that governance remains aligned with the needs and expectations of the people of Goa.
