Goa hotels told to use TIME software and file C-Forms

Tourism Dept issues advisory ahead of charter season

PANAJI

Ahead of the charter tourism season, the Tourism Department on Monday issued an advisory to all hoteliers and accommodation providers in Goa. They have been told to strictly follow the use of the Tourism Information Management Enterprise (TIME) software for monthly data submission, and to file C-Forms for all foreign tourists.

Hotels, guesthouses and other providers, including Airbnb hosts, have been asked to give priority to timely and accurate data submission to help maintain safe and secure tourism. As per the advisory, all information must be uploaded on the TIME software by the 5th of every month. Incomplete or incorrect entries will be treated as non-compliance. The department said it will also carry out regular checks and audits of accommodation units.

Failure to submit data on TIME will invite fines and penalties under Rule 17 of the Goa Registration of Tourist Trade (Amendment) Rules, 2022. Continued non-compliance could even result in suspension or cancellation of the operating licence.

Accommodation units hosting foreign tourists must also file C-Forms along with TIME data. The tourism season will officially begin on October 2, with Russian airline Aeroflot starting three weekly flights from Novosibirsk, Russia, to Manohar International Airport (Mopa).
