Goa recorded 241 accidents in November, 19 cases less than October

PANAJI: The Directorate of Transport has revealed a decline in road accidents and fatalities in Goa in November 2024 compared to October. A total of 241 accidents were reported in November, which is 19 fewer than the 260 cases recorded in October. On average, Goa witnessed 8.66 road accidents per day in October.

In October, the state recorded 17 fatalities due to road accidents, while the number decreased to 15 in November. 


A breakdown of the November statistics shows that 15 accidents were fatal, 18 were grievous, 43 were minor, and 165 involved no injuries. In comparison, October had 16 grievous accidents, 47 minor accidents, and 180 non-injury incidents.

November Accident Details:

North Goa reported 125 accidents, including 8 fatal cases, 13 grievous accidents, 10 minor accidents, and 94 non-injury incidents. The fatalities included 5 riders and 3 pedestrians. Additionally, 13 people were grievously injured, while 19 suffered minor injuries.



South Goa reported 116 accidents, including 7 fatal cases, 5 grievous accidents, 33 minor accidents, and 71 non-injury incidents. Fatalities included 4 riders, 1 pillion rider, 1 driver, and 1 pedestrian. The district recorded 9 grievous injuries and 67 minor injuries.


In November, a total of 16 individuals lost their lives, including 9 riders, 1 pillion rider, 2 drivers, 4 pedestrians, and no cyclists or passengers.
