The State’s startup and IT promotion cell unveiled the second avatar of its  ‘Startup Yata’ aimed at handholding entrepreneurship and combat brain drain which it will launch on Monday next.

To further nurture the startup ecosystem, the 10-day yatra hopes to empower students by guiding and mentoring their entrepreneurship aspirations besides giving incubation support for their innovative concepts.

At the ‘Yatra’, entrepreneurship workshops will be held across over 30 select educational institutions from Goa which will be followed up with ‘Student Launchpad Programme’ in November-December later this year, .

Two outstanding students or groups from each institution will be picked who will get incubation support for up to a year from reputed network incubators, who will also provide them mentorship and resources.

Incubators within Goa, including the Atal Innovation Council – Goa Institute of Management (AIC – GIM), BITS Goa Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Society (BGIIES), Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration (CIBA), and Forum for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship (FiiRE) will be part of the programme.
