Anthony Rodrigues, a distinguished academic from Fr Agnel College of Arts and Commerce, Pilar, has been conferred with two prestigious honours by the Indian Commerce Association (ICA) -- Best Business Academic of the Year and recognition as a Fellow of the Indian Commerce Association.
Rodrigues received the ‘Best Business Academic of the Year award 2025 for the second time at the 76th All India Commerce Conference, hosted by Garden City University, Bangalore recently.
At the same conference, he was also named a fellow of the Indian Commerce Association in recognition of his outstanding contributions to commerce and management education.
Rodrigues was lauded for his research paper, An Empirical Examination of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) Underpricing in India, which earned wide appreciation at the national conference.
With over three decades in higher education, Rodrigues is a dynamic teacher, researcher, and leader. His work extends beyond academia, encompassing social initiatives and mentorship that have shaped careers of several students, many of whom now hold senior positions in multinational corporations or run successful enterprises.
