Sequeira who is a well known builder in Ribandar and surrounding areas, was arrested by the Pune police in a cheating case and was lodged in custody when he suffered a heart attack.
Sequeira is survived by his wife Daphne and two daughters Melody and Martina who have settled abroad.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Sequeira was arrested a few weeks ago and was subsequently denied bail. The fate of the case against him is now not known.
