Panaji: A collective named "Goans Against EVMs" has announced a planned protest on March 10th in the capital city, raising their voice against the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in Indian elections, particularly the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Activists leading the cause emphasized their non-affiliation with any political party, asserting that their collaboration involves concerned citizens from various parts of Goa.
The group demands the elimination of EVMs from the voting process, calling for a reevaluation of the electoral system in India. As they gear up for the protest, their unified voice seeks to draw attention to the perceived shortcomings of EVMs and advocate for an alternative voting mechanism.
