Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Monday said that the new cancer hospital in Goa will be commissioned before December 2026. He said that efforts to establish AIIMS Hospital in Goa will continue, and 100 more seats will be added to Goa Medical College, both in undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
On the tourism front, Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said the Union Budget 2025-26 will help Goa's tourism and IT sectors. Enhanced E-visa facilities and better connectivity will boost foreign tourism, while the budget supplement will help expand Ekadash Teerth and spiritual tourism.
