Gold ornaments and other valuables worth about Rs 5 lakh were stolen after unknown persons broke into a house at Cuelim, Ossoilem, Cansaulim, in the early hours of 05/02/2026 between 00.30 hrs and 01.10 hrs.
The complaint was filed by Leonardo Gouveia, a resident of Borda, Margao. He said the accused entered the house by breaking open the rear door and fled with gold ornaments and other items.
Based on the complaint, Verna police registered an offence under Sections 331(4) and 305 read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The investigation is being carried out by PSI Prisely Carvalho of Verna Police Station under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
