Gold worth Rs 3.37 lakh was recovered from a passenger arriving from Dubai at the Dabolim airport on Monday.
Based on inputs from the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU), the Air Customs officers of Goa headed by Y B Sahare, Assistant Commissioner of Customs (Airport) on Monday apprehended an international passenger who arrived from Dubai by an Indigo Flight 6E-8445.
A gold capsule valued at Rs 3,37,590 was recovered from the rectum of the passenger, who is from Kasargod-Kerala, stated a press release issued by Commissioner of Customs Mihir Ranjan.
This is third gold seizure by the Goa Customs within a fortnight and investigations are in progress.
