Many commuters wait for buses at the bus-shelter situated in the vicinity of Top Cola factory, Borim in Ponda for proceeding towards Margao, Vasco and Sanvordem.
However it has been noticed that the dustbin installed at this place has been broken and not replaced for quite some time. A hole has developed at the bottom thereby raising the possibility of the dumped waste papers and plastic bottles falling to the ground.
This makes the bus-shelter look dirty thereby defeating the very basis of ‘Swacch Goa Mission’. In order to assure cleanliness at this strategic bus-shelter, it is the need of the hour for the concerned authorities to replace the defective dustbin with a new one at the earliest so that the waste material dropped here remains intact.
Let us hope authorities do the needful in the interest of innocent commuters.
