Margao fire brigade rushed to Davorlim on Sunday following a call that a residential house is engulfed by fire.
Fire officer Gill D’Sa informed that the rear side of the house caught fire and destroyed household items, all worth around Rs one lakh.
The fire brigade on the other hand managed to save property worth around Rs five lakh.
He said the alert duty crew also removed one loaded and two empty LPG cylinders from the house.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a huge tree came crashing on a compound wall and shed at Per-Seraulim.
