Governor PS Shreedharan Pillai on Monday visited Quepem taluka.
Upon arrival at the Old Quepem Police Station area the Governor was welcomed by local MLA Altone Dcosta and former Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Kavlekar. The Governor offered prayers at Shree Laxmi Mandir. The Governor offered prayers at the giant Baobab tree which is believed to be one of the oldest tree.
Later, Pillai visited Shree Muddeshwar Sateri Devasthan, Kusmane at Quepem and offered prayers. He also offered prayers at the old heritage Peepal tree in the temple vicinity.
The Governor informed that he is very much interested in visiting the islands in Goa, which will be undertaken shortly.
