Govt gives Blue Cab prepaid taxi counter to Pernem operators at Mopa

The agitation over the last six months regarding a taxi stand on priority basis for locals at Manohar International Airport in Mopa finally ended, after the government decided to give a Blue Cab prepaid taxi counter to taxi operators in Pernem.

These taxi operators have now formed the Blue Cab Prepaid Taxi Association and have registered for the Blue Cab prepaid taxi counter.

Sanjay Namdev Kambli was elected as president of this association and the other office bearers are Rajan Mohan Naik (vice-president), Ramchandra Gawade (secretary), Nandkumar Malvankar (joint secretary), Suvek Gawas (treasurer) and Mahesh Prabhu Desai (joint treasurer). The other members are Siddhesh Narulkar, Gurudas Mahale, Rajesh Mayekar, Babu Varak, Nikhil Mahale, Siddhesh Narulkar, Gajanan Gadekar, Budhaji Shetkar, Siddhesh Mahale and Rupesh Kamble.

“The 200 government-approved permit holders will be assimilated in the association and the remaining 100 will also be, if possible, made members,” said Bhaskar Narulkar, leader of the taxi operators association.
