Govt ignoring staff shortage at Ponda SDH: Lavu

Stating that he was not surprised over the shortage of doctors, specialists and staff at the Ponda Sub District Hospital, former Ponda MLA Lavu Mamledar said the government has been sidelining the issue.

PONDA:
"I had tried my best to get these posts filled, but the government ignored my demands. They are repeating the same mistake with the present MLA Ravi Naik. They don't work for public welfare of the people, but indulge in politics everywhere," Mamledar said.
"Health services should be given top priority. Despite my requests, they were sidelined. They wanted to show that I am inefficient and hence they did politics, which should not have been the case," he said.
Despite efforts, Ponda MLA Ravi Naik could not be contacted for comments in the matter.
