Former Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane demanded that Goa government should adopt agricultural technology from Israel to improve agriculture in state. He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a lift irrigation project by the Water Resources Department on Wednesday at Bhom Padeli in Sattari Taluka. He also urged the state government to consider drip irrigation.
Water Resources Minister Vinod palienkar said that various schemes will be implemented in the state for water management.
The project had been commissioned in 2011 and was completed after eight years. A total of Rs 14 crore have been spent on the project. Around 400 famalies are expected to benefit from the project and supply water to 180 acres
of land.
