The State government has constituted and notified the selection committee for the appointment of three members to the Goa State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and the president and a member to the South District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission.
Jt Secretary of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Sudhir Kerkar issued the order on April 4 about the selection committee and the order has been published in the Official Gazette dated April 7.
The selection committee consists of Chairperson Justice M S Sonak (Justice at the High Court of Bombay at Goa) and the members Sanjay Ghar (Secretary, Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs) and Ramesh Verma (Secretary Revenue).
The appointment has been done as per the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019
