Govt to give VII pay benefits to non judicial employees

The Goa Government has decided to extend the benefits of the VIIth pay Commission to non-judicial employees of the District and Sub-ordinate Courts functioning in the State of Goa paying heed to a direction from the High Court to examine the matter.

The employees of the District & Subordinate Courts viz. North Goa (Non-Gazetted) Judicial Court Employees Association and 3 others had approached the High Court of Bombay  in a petition, seeking directions that non-judicial employees of the District and Sub-ordinate 
Courts should not be excluded from the order issued by the government implementing the recommendations of the Seventh Pay to the employees of State Administration and Grant-in-Aid Educational Institutions.   
Through the its order, the High Court directed that the State Government shall treat the petition filed by the North Goa (Non-Gazetted) Judicial Court Employees Association and three others as representation and decide this the representation within a period of two weeks.
