Govt to procure 9,100 tablet computers for teachers in State

PANAJI

The State government has moved to equip teachers with 9,100 tablet computers, with the Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd (ITG) floating a tender for their procurement under the Samagra Shiksha programme.

The tender has been invited by ITG on behalf of Goa Samagra Shiksha, Directorate of Education, for the procurement of the tablets. The devices are intended to facilitate access to applications and educational content of the Directorate of Education, supporting the government’s digital education initiatives.

The procurement will be carried out through the Government of Goa’s e-tendering portal. Interested bidders must register on the portal and possess a Class III digital signature with signing and encryption facilities to participate in the tender process.

The move comes as schools increasingly integrate digital tools and content into classroom teaching and other academic activities. The tablets are proposed to provide teachers with dedicated digital devices to access education-related applications and resources.
