Animal Husbandry Minister Nilkanth Halarnkar has said the State government would provide all possible support to Goshalas in the State.
Halarnkar was addressing the 7th anniversary celebrations of the Sikeri Goshale run by Gomantak Gosevak Mahasangh.
“The Sikeri Goshala has provided shelter to over 1,800 cattle and has rendered great service in collecting stray cattle and treating the injured cattle. The government will provide special support to all such Goshalas to avail benefits of all schemes,” Halarnkar.
Others present on the occasion included Bicholim MLA Dr Chandrakant Shetye, Pujya Swamiji Yagneshwarji Maharaj, President Kamalakant Tari, Kamlesh Bandekar, Seema Arodekar, Sandhya Khanolkar, Raghav Shetye, Rupesh Thanekar, Subhash Parsekar, Jayesh Shet Gaonkar and Amrish Shet.
Bicholim MLA Dr Chandrakant Shetye also spoke on the occasion.
In the morning session, Swamiji Yagneshwarji Maharaj visited the Goshala and reviewed the overall work.
Nilkanth Halarnkar, Dr Chandrakant Shetye, Rupesh Thanekar, Kamalakant Tari, Jayesh, Subhash, Girish Seema Arondekar were felicitated on the occasion.
