Even as an upbeat Aam Aadmi party (AAP) Goa unit sees a ray of hope to make a dent in Goan politics following the party’s landslide victory in Delhi, the Congress leadership said the 2020 Delhi verdict will have no bearing on the Congress party in Goa.
In fact, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President pointed out that AAP had tried to made a dent in Goa after the party’s landslide victory in Delhi in 2015 Assembly election, but AAP failed to open an account in the 2017 Goa Assembly polls.
“After winning a landslide victory in Delhi in 2015, AAP had made a determined bid to enter Goa, but the people of Goa had given 17 plus one seat to the Congress, while AAP could not even open its account,” the GPCC president said.
