CANACONA
Addressing a hastily convened news conference at Chaudi late Thursday evening, Bhandari said Tawadkar had called him to his office in Chaudi on the pretext of discussing a matter concerning the development of Canacona.
“Anticipating that the Speaker had called me for a discussion on Vision Canacona-2030, I went to his office. He then snapped at me and confronted me on my memorandum demanding repair of various dilapidated roads in Canacona, including the internal road from Partagal to Amone, the venue of the Lokotsav.”
“He then began rebuking me for taking up the issue of repair of roads, especially the road to Lokotsav (Amone) from Partagal. Tawadkar claimed that he is organising the Lokotsav and that, he is bringing the President of India to Canacona,” said Bhandari.
“I am least bothered about his outburst and will continue submitting memorandums and taking up people's issues with the government,” he added.
